If the conventional limousine is not what you had in mind for your transportation, then there are many options that you could choose
from. Many couples are now choosing to arrive in their dream sports car to make a dashing entrance to their reception. This is the
perfect time to go crazy and over the top (of course, that is if the budget allows!). This would be a great reason to rent a Ferrari
or Lamborghini out for the whole weekend so you can arrive in style for all your planned events. Also when you arrange to rent for the
entire weekend, the car rental dealers usually give you better prices! Don’t forget renting a while in advance can also help save you some money!
If arriving in a flashy sports car is not your thing, then maybe arriving in old classics could be. And I am not talking about a horse
carriage, not that there is anything wrong with that! What you might see yourself in is an old classic Mercedes like in "The Godfather",
which your groom could find pretty cool too! Or perhaps something like Eleanor, the 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 in the movie "Gone in 60 Seconds".
That could pretty hot! Remember that you could post any of these transportation requests as your projects right here at The Wedding Colony and have
many of our fabulous Transportation Providers bid for your needs, giving you many different quotes and saving time and money deciding between these fun choices.
Another grand way to arrive, if budget allows, is to land in with a helicopter! Of course with this choice, you may need some extra-hold hair
spray to keep your hairdo from looking frazzled, but the shock and awe from all your guests will definitely be worth it! This is a choice for
the bride who really wants to separate herself from the overdone limousines and make a statement. Renting a helicopter is usually by the hour,
but there are some providers that do let you arrange a half hour which could cut your prices down drastically. So don’t be afraid to negotiate!
Also if you are posting this project, be sure to ask for the amount of time that you want to rent the helicopter for and don’t hesitate to ask
for the minimum time that the provider would allow you to rent the bird! And I’m sure your groom would find a helicopter a much more worthy thing
to splurge on than the organza drapes you talked about.
Now a few things to remember include tipping the driver (unless tip is included, but in most places it is not). You should tip around $50-$100,
depending on how much driving is done. Also, it is crucial to make sure that you are packed properly if you are getting ready in one place and
ending up in another. This includes your touch-up make-up, purse, your bridal emergency bag, cash, driver’s incense, marriage license, (passport
and luggage if you are leaving to your honeymoon directly from the hotel), etc. Do all these in advance, you don’t want to run late to your own wedding ceremony!
So have fun and be creative! This is the one time that you can go over the top and make a grand entrance that makes everyone's jaws drop! Even if
you want to arrive in a hot air balloon or atop a horse, you are the princess on your wedding day after all!
