How should I go about choosing my flowers?
A great way to get started with flowers is to determine your favorite colors and season. With all of the thousands of floral choices, knowing the hues you like best helps to narrow down your search. You can always get flowers shipped to your area, even if they are out of season, but staying within your regions’ growing seasons can really save your budget!

After you settle on your colors you can start to pick from your favorite flowers. Say you love lilies and roses and your colors are pink and brown. You may find that you do not like the shade or the look of the roses in pink, but the lilies are perfect! You’ve just made one difficult decision that much easier!

That’s why you should always check out all the options available to you. Go to the flower district and look at all the colors and varieties! You may, all of a sudden, discover flowers that you have never even thought about! With your favorite blooms in mind you can really know what you ask from your florist.

If saving money is a big priority for you, before you make any decisions, remember that the most important points to know are what is in season, the approximate price per stem and the quantity needed to create your vision. Orchids can be very expensive and may require a dense, multi-stem arrangement to create a grand effect. Roses are a less expensive flower for weddings but can be designed to have very expensive impact! Arranging flowers is a true artform, excellent florists can work miracles with even the most ordinary type of flower. Being creative can save money and still "wow" your guets!
