Do I have to buy a gift for my future In Laws? If so, what should I get for them?
This can be a tricky question because none of us likes to get caught unprepared! The tradition has not really been set in this department yet, so you may find that some friends may have purchased thank you gifts for In Laws and some who chose to forego the gesture. A great suggestion is to purchase a silver frame and have it engraved for them… something they can feature their favorite wedding picture in once they are developed. This is an inexpensive, but thoughtful way to show your new family members that you look forward to getting to know them.
Other suggestions could be also a certificate to their favorite restaurant, maybe a concert tickets for the band they loved when they were dating or any other special shows that you think they may enjoy. Cirque du Soleil is an experience no one forgets! These gifts are very thoughtful, and fairly effortless if time is not on your side.
