His sister - my bridesmaid… do I have to?
We all know that loving him doesn’t always mean loving his family. It would be impractical to assume that you will all be instant best friends. If you haven’t yet had the time to bond with your future family members, it is still a good idea to take the first step in including them as honor attendants. Keep in mind that this ceremony is an extremely important day in the lives of his loved ones too. What an extremely special and generous gesture to include his sister as a bridesmaid. Dress shopping, hair trials and mani/pedis are a fabulous way to get to know each other while you are planning this amazing day.
If you are worried as to how she will get along with your other bridesmaids, pull your closest confidants aside and give them a heads up. They will undoubtedly have no problem going the extra mile to make her feel included. After all, no one wants to feel left out of a party. Especially a Wedding Party!
Think positively! Use this opportunity to get to know her. Hey, who knows? Maybe you will even find a new friend! And if that is out of question… at least you will score some big points with your husband-to-be! Perhaps you can cash them in when you tell him what you spent on your newest pair of fabulous shoes!
