Speeches can be scary for more than just those speaking them! Occasionally the ones we love are not the most comfortable in front of a crowd…
and sometimes, they are too comfortable! You never know what some people might say! To ensure that the bloopers are kept to a minimum,
here are some tips:
• Give them a time limit and blame it on the coordinator or the emcee, that way you have control over how long the speeches can go.
• You can also assign someone who is wise and discreet to guide them with their speeches. Of course you know nothing about this ;)
• Buy a book on speech etiquette, pretend you got it for yourself and discreetly bring it up in conversation. You could offer it to your speech
giver for helpful hints or tips. Surely anyone would appreciate a friendly suggestion and a source of speech inspiration.
Just remember that your speech givers are probably so honored and excited to be part of your special day and are looking really
forward to blowing you away with their masterpiece.
